Cub Scouts is for boys and girls in kindergarten through 5th grade. Our Cub Scouts are all part of our Pack, but are grouped into Dens based on their grade level. Note: If your child is registered in RSK, they are welcome to join the pack as part of the kindergarten den (Lion).
5th graders (Arrow of Light), can transition to a Scout Troop in February after earning their Arrow of Light. Scouts are free to join a Troop of their choice. There are two nearby Troops in Minnetonka where our 5th graders have historically chosen (Troop 346 & Troop 409).

We currently have one fundraiser each year in the fall. We sell wreaths and other holiday greens. Our sales help offset the need for additional dues and allows us to plan a fun year of activities and cover awards earned, new books, neckerchiefs, outings, etc. each year. We encourage every Scout to get involved with our fundraiser and help support our Pack.
Cub Scouts can wear the official uniform shirt to Pack Meetings (and any public events) if they wish. Scouting America will also provide a Cub Scouts t-shirt that can be worn (the pack will order these each fall). The uniform includes:
Lion – Cub Scouts t-shirt
Tiger, Wolf, Bear and Webelos scouts wear the official blue uniform shirt (short sleeve or long sleeve), neckerchief, slide, and belt.
Arrow of Light scouts may wear the khaki uniform shirt (in stead of the blue uniform shirt), neckerchief, slide, and belt.
Socks and hat are optional for all.
Navy blue pants, shorts or jeans (Scouts are not required to purchase official Scout pants)
Uniforms may be purchased at any local council store or online at https://www.scoutshop.org/
The Scouting program is successful because of adult partner participation. Thus, one adult MUST stay for the den meeting and pack meeting, for all age groups.
The Cub Scout program is designed to have FUN with friends while building citizenship, fitness, an appreciation for the outdoors, and more. Each year we have a variety of activities to keep the Scouts entertained and engaged all while learning! A highlight for the Scouts is the Pinewood Derby where Scouts work with an adult to build and race a car. We also participate in service events in the community to give Scouts an opportunity to help others. Past entertainment at Pack meetings has included a magician, a national yo-yo master, a bug guy, a reptile guy, the raptor center, and a paper airplane derby. The Scouts have also got to participate in archery, rock climbing, sledding, camping, and rocket launching. Yes! Our Pack is only as strong as our parent and adult participation! We are always looking for volunteers no matter how small or large the time commitment. We embrace the idea that many hands make light work and expect parents to pitch in and help throughout the year where they can. There are many ways you can help out. We will send out links to a Sign Up Genius when we are seeking volunteers for some activities. Although our Dens will have a Den Leader, each of our Dens rely on den parents to take turns planning and hosting den meetings/outings as part of a shared leadership model. Please let us know if you have a specific interest or have any special talents or connections to offer your den or the pack.
Email is the main communication method for the Pack. Emails will arrive from MinnetonkaPack460@gmail.com. In addition to information being sent in emails, Pack information will also be posted to this website. Please contact us anytime with questions, suggestions, or feedback.
